The U.S. distributor of Fuji Bikes in early June suspended sales to North American police forces, citing instances where bikes became part of "violent tactics" responding to the protests following the killing of George Floyd.
Amazon announced a one-year moratorium on police use of its facial-recognition software, calling on Congress to implement rules around its use. Microsoft followed suit. IBM, which said it no longer offers general-purpose facial-recognition software, said "now is the time" for a national dialogue on the use of such systems by law enforcement as part of an overall police reform effort.
