Has the Dr. Seuss book, 'The Cat In The Hat,' been taken out of publication?

"The Cat In The Hat" is not among the six books by Dr. Seuss that Dr. Seuss Enterprises announced on March 2, 2021, that it would no longer publish because of some portrayals of people in the books.

A statement on the company's website said "Dr. Seuss Enterprises, working with a panel of experts, including educators, reviewed our catalog of titles and made the decision last year to cease publication and licensing of the following titles: 'And to Think That I Saw It on Mulberry Street'; 'If I Ran the Zoo'; 'McElligot's Pool'; 'On Beyond Zebra!'; 'Scrambled Eggs Super!', and 'The Cat's Quizzer'." These books portray people in ways that are hurtful and wrong.

As the list shows, "The Cat in the Hat," among the most popular Dr. Seuss titles, is not among those no longer to be published.
