Is Mayim Bialik, an actress with a doctorate in neuroscience, opposed to vaccination?

Mayim Bialik debunked such claims on social media after a misinterpretation of an excerpt from her book was used to portray her as someone who did not believe in vaccinating her children.

In a video posted on her YouTube channel, Bialik clarified that she is not against vaccination.

"I wrote a book about 10 years ago about my experience parenting, and at the time my children had not received the typical schedule of vaccines. But I have never, not once, said that vaccines are not valuable, not useful or not necessary, because they are," she said, adding that parents sometimes delay vaccinations for children because of factors such as allergies to ingredients and compromised immune systems.

"As of today, my children may not have had every one of the vaccinations that your children have, but my children are vaccinated," she said.
