As in many states, Georgia's Secretary of State is charged with running elections. The current office holder, Brad Raffensperger, is facing widespread criticism for his choice of new voting technology after an array of implementation problems led to long delays for some voters in the state's June 9 primary.
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported that Raffensperger said county officials were responsible for proper installation and training, but that he would investigate the conduct in two large counties and review how training and management could be improved.
