Disneyland has not said that the park will institute a "no screaming on theme park rides" policy, contrary to a social media post.
While state government and the California Attractions and Parks Association trade group have published recommendations for reopening amusement and theme parks during the pandemic, that guidance does not specify that parks institute a "no screaming" policy.
A document from the California Department of Public Health includes 18 specific points about theme park rides. First on the list is mandatory face coverings for visitors and employees. There is no mention of a "no screaming" policy.
The industry association's recommendations are similar but stop well before a "no screaming" policy.
